Cataloging university courses that include information about Hyperledger projects

David Boswell

If you know of any blockchain courses that are being offered by any universities that include information in them about Hyperledger projects, please reply and let us know.  We're interested in cataloging information about these courses and sharing this with the Hyperledger community, so thank you in advance for anything you can point us to.

And if you're interested in helping create a knowledge map of blockchain educational resources in general, there is an effort happening in the community right now that you're welcome to take part in.  More about the Global Scouting of DLT and Blockchain Educational Opportunities is at:

Thanks,
David

Hi David,
MIPT (Moscow, Russia) has Blocjchain master's program which includes a course on Hyperledger Fabric.
The MIPT Master in Blockchain was opened in 2019. It was created in partnership with IBM and Nornickel. Industrial chair of the master's program is the autonomous non-profit organization "Idea" where the blockchain competence center is located. Currently this course is aimed at those who know Russian.
This is a full-fledged master's program that lasts 2 years. During their training students learn various aspects of blockchain and cryptography including a course on Hyperledger Fabric.
This course is designed for 60 academic hours. At the end students take an exam. Course program includes the following topics for study:
·        History of development and platform's concept
·        Versions, course of development, HLF elements overview
·        SDK: existing options
·        Permission model: pros and cons
·        HLF public blockchains
·        Difference with Ethereum smart contracts
·        Non-anchored private blockchains and anchored to Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc
·        Solo, kafka, raft, bft protocols
·        Sharding mechanism, inter-channel atomic swap
·        Optimization options and associated facilities
·        HLF cryptography
·        Running in docker container and without it
·        HLF Ethereum Virtual Machine implementation options
·        Opensource community

The result of studying master course:
  • Knowledge of blockchain theory (basic models, consensus, vulnerabilities) and cryptography
  • Ability to design blockchain project
  • Knowledge of information security systems
  • Ability to program and run projects using the Hyperledger Fabric framework
  • Development of smart contracts in Ethereum
  • Advanced knowledge of tokenomics
