Call for Topics for this week's TSC call #tsc
I don't know that it needs discussion on the call, but I would like to discuss moving Avalon from Deprecated to EOL directly, without the wait.
I'm also interested in thoughts about how long projects are Dormant before they are Deprecated or EOLd - Quilt has not had a release since August 2020, and the last code commit was February 2021.
These discussions can take place on this list, if people want.

Hi Ry,
Is there a reason for moving from Deprecated to EOL before 6 months due notice to the community? Let's discuss what it means for Avalon vs other projects in future.
Hi Tracy,
Alfonso (one of the community leaders from Latino America region) told me that members of other Linux Foundation communities reached out to him looking for possible collaboration with the Hyperledger Foundation. The major reason was told to be language barrier. I remember such conversations of collaborations within the LF have been brought up in the past, but this could be an improvement area for TSC, reconsider the discussions and be potential catalysts.
Regards,
Arun

Tracy--
Hi, Arun.
The idea was that it really should have entered deprecated status around March of last year, so moving to Deprecated instead of EOL was an error.

Hi, Arun.
I am not exactly sure that I understand what the conversation is that you would like to have. Is it related to the language barrier with the Latino American Hyperledger group? Or is it that the Latino America region would like to form an LF-wide community? Or is it cross-collaboration with groups outside of Hyperledger (either within the LF or outside of the LF)? Or maybe the "breaking down the silos" discussion for the silos within Hyperledger? Let me know the scope of the discussion that you are suggesting.

Hi Ry, thanks for the context.
Hi Tracy, discussion on the topic of cross-collaboration with other groups outside of Hyperledger within the LF. We can invite Alfonso and the other party who reached out to them. I have sent them a note, and will confirm soon.

Arun
