[Hyperledger Project TSC] Common SDK Design Spec for Fabric - ready for public review
Jim Zhang <jzhang@...>
Dear colleagues in the hyperledger technical community,
I have the honor to announce that the Common SDK Design Spec document is now ready for public review. This is the result of 3-month long collaboration among the members of the SDK workgroup spanning CLS, DTCC, Fujitsu Australia, IBM, LSEG, and other companies, spending countless hours of individual contribution and many collaborative working session calls. The design tries to strike a balance between developer friendliness and flexibility, to make sure the abstraction level of the API is not too low (requiring too many calls to achieve simple tasks) or too high (making it too rigid and hard to adapt to different scenarios) but just right.
We are proud of the output but also are aware that there are definitely room for improvement. To that end, we'd like to now open this up to the broader community for review and feedback. The document is on google drive so it's pretty easy to add comments and editing suggestions. In addition, Todd Benzies is creating a new mailing list to help with discussions.
If you have any questions or clarifications while reading the document, please feel free to reach out to us in the #fabric-sdk-dev channel on slack.
thanks and happy reading!
