SF Blockchain Week: Techstars and Blockchain for Social Justice

Daisy Ozim

Hello Social Impacters!

I hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying your summer.

As you know, Blockchain for Social Justice has been at the intersection of blockchain technology and social impact--helping people from underserved backgrounds break into the blockchain space and develop social impact projects  through strategic educational initiatives and events.

This year for San Francisco Blockchain Week, B4SJ has partnered with Techstars to do a startup weekend for Blockchain for Good. I am wondering if you might be interested in being a judge, coach, or sponsor for the event? It would be Oct 25-27 in San Francisco. And/ or perhaps you have some colleagues that would want to get involved?

Do let me know when you have a chance to connect and discuss further!

Sincerely,

Daisy

Under normal circumstances we’d be on board for that, but the dates chosen conflict with the NetHope Global Summit — probably the largest NGO tech event of the year and all of our team will be in Puerto Rico for that event.

Best,
ric

Hi Daisy,

Thank you for sharing this with our group! I hope there wasn't any confusion, Ric was speaking about Mercy Corps not being able to be involved, not the SIG. Would you like to mention it on our next call on Sept. 5th? It'd be great to have a team for this event as well from the Hyperledger community (much like my recent email on the SDG Hackathon) and coaches too. I'll share with our team in SF as well.

Thanks,
Karen

I hope all is well. No worries! I knew he was referring to Mercy Corps.
I would love to present on the next call. We need as much support as we can get :)
