Hello Laura,

Could you provide more information on your program? I work in a research centre in Brazil and we are currently in the early stages of developing PoCs in digital ID and traceability.

Kind regards,

AGENDA: Hyperledger Social Impact SIG @11AM ET

Alissa M Worley

Hi everyone!

Below is the agenda for today’s Social Impact SIG call.

  • Introductions: New Members
  • Admin and Operations:
    • Karen will walk through some of our new-looking wiki page https://wiki.hyperledger.org/display/SISIG/Social+Impact+SIG
    • Call for Use Cases w/Hyperledger: We have a research inquiry for innovative use cases with Hyperledger in social impact. Karen has what some of you have worked on but not all, please send a brief description and links to kottoni@... (Speaking of it would be great if we started developing our own tracker....yes?)
  • SIG Member Presentation: Caine Smith, Co-Founder & Executive Director of the AVA Foundation will give an overview of the foundation and what its working on.
  • Events Coming Up: What blockchain events are you attending in the coming months that could be of interest to this group? Let's capture and leverage!
  • Opportunity Matrix: Review and capture volunteers to identify key players, projects, and use cases in various topic areas. This is a great way to start to get involved and you don't need to be an expert in a space to contribute - your interest and enthusiasm in a topic will add value.
  • Getting Involved and Building Membership: What do you think the social impact space needs to better understand or implement blockchain? What would you like to do/contribute/propose we work on together? Who would it be helpful to hear from as we continue on this journey? Thoughts on best ways to build awareness of the group?
  • Misc./Announcements: Share any comments, ideas, announcements

Looking forward to connecting!

Hi Laura,

Many thanks for the interest in GoodChain. Let's connect separately to discuss the details. Can you share more information on the program you mention?

Thanks and regards,

I'm at the stage to find Blockchain projects (in the area of Identity and Supply Chain) where the attendees of my program could work on a volunteer basis.
The program includes a mastermind group and a hackathon as well.

Hello Ric Shreves,

Thanks for showing interest.
I have been working on donation traceability and found out that there are meant existing processes who do donation traceability but they are missing a crucial point. That is  traceability at the final step of donation. Ex: Tracking of donated assets with the final donee is missing.

I'm working on Hyperledger fabric POC to develop this solution. Will complete this by end of February. Right now I'm at requirements gathering phase.

Regards,
Pradeep Kumar

happy to find this social impact sig

bkoustav@...

Hi all,
I found out about social impact sig today and joined after going through the wiki page. My interest in blockchain was triggered after knowing the huge potential it has to uplift humanity in terms of bringing in trust, transparency, efficiency in our everyday life. I feel I have reached the right place the explore the possibilities.

I have experience of volunteering for grass-root level NGOs working in fields of education, sustainable farming & women's empowerment in rural India and I see many use cases from my direct experience. Looking forward to contribute to this group.

I have just achieved primary literacy level about blockchain technology and learning everyday.

Regards
Koustav Biswas
