Frontiers in Blockchain: Blockchain Uses for Social and Economic Equity in Agriculture and Food Production
As I mentioned on the call today, Frontiers in Blockchain is inviting submissions for a research collection on Blockchain Uses for Social and Economic Equity in Agriculture and Food Production (https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/12379/blockchain-uses-for-social-and-economic-equity-in-agriculture-and-food-production), at Swiss academic journal Frontiers in Blockchain. This collection will be part of the Blockchain for Good section of the journal (https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/blockchain/sections/blockchain-for-good#).
I am an editor for the collection. We want it to showcase a wide range of examples of how blockchain technology is being leveraged to benefit farmers and others involved in food production. It would be great to include projects from the Hyperledger community. Please let me know if you or anyone you know would be interested in participating and I can add you into the Frontiers system as contributors.
Frontiers is a leading Gold Open Access publisher based in Switzerland, and Frontiers in Blockchain was launched in August 2018, with the aim to provide a trusted source of high-quality, peer-reviewed research articles which are free to access online. An Article Processing Charge (https://www.frontiersin.org/about/publishing-fees) applies for papers that are accepted for publication. If you know of a potential contributor whose employer/institution/funding body is not able to provide sufficient funding for publication, the processing charge should not be a barrier for submission - please have them contact Ursula Rabar (mailto: blockchain@...) to discuss an appropriate solution to ensure that they are able to contribute regardless of their funding situation.
