Hello Everyone,

This email is to provide a quick update and agenda for our 8/31 patient subgroup call. Please be advised that we have shifted the time of the 8/31 call to 10-11 PDT for scheduling reasons. Meeting details can be found on the Hyperledger Community Calendar.

For the 8/31 patient subgroup meeting, we will have Naomi Bar Yam, Executive Director at Mother's Milk Bank Northeast, joining us again. The aim of this meeting is to ensure that we understand all stakeholders in the donor milk system, the regulatory requirements of the system, and the current information management needs and requirements, including the information/feedback from NICUs regarding babies that receive the milk and their diagnosis. All of this will ensure that the network being built is compliant.

The agenda is as follows:

10:00-10:10am - subgroup updates and current state of donor milk proof of concept

10:10-10:50am - Q&A with Naomi - specific questions to address:

• Who are all of the participants in the donor milk system (donor banks, hospitals, regulators)?
  

• What legal/regulatory standards are we working with? What does the paperwork load look like to meet these requirements?

• What are the roles that regulators and public health entities play in the process?

• What data are already being collected for the donations and movement of the them?
  

• What is a list of key attributes to have inside the network on the participants in the donor milk system and the milk itself? What is important for the milk bank to be able to query from the network?

10:50-11:00am - wrap up and next steps

If you have other questions that are not covered above, I have added a "SME Questions and Responses" topic to Section 2 of the business case wiki where you can add them or send to me and I'll add them. I have some from previous discussions that I will be adding this week.

Finally, on the 8/24 Healthcare-WG call last Friday, since there wasn't a preset agenda, we were able to use this time to discuss donor milk use case more. Notes can be found on the Healthcare-wg wiki and the recording will be made available shortly at the same location.
