When will FAB-106 be solved?

Hi,
We noticed there is an in progress development FAB-106 and we are expecting it be solved because [Ledger snapshot and checkpoint] can be very useful to our developing project. https://jira.hyperledger.org/browse/FAB-106 Though FAB-106's Priority marked as [high] and Fix Version marked as [v2.x], we also like to know the approximate time FAB-106 will be solved, in order to decide whether our project can wait it or not. Ledger snapshotting and checkpointing is functionally complete. Its implementation is part of the current master branch and it will be released in our upcoming 2.3.0 release later this month. You can read the final proposal here: https://github.com/hyperledger/fabric-rfcs/blob/master/text/0000-ledger-checkpointing.md and the documentation is available here on how to use it: https://hyperledger-fabric.readthedocs.io/en/latest/peer_ledger_snapshot.html
If you want to try it out today, you can build the latest images from master, otherwise they will be available on dockerhub following the release of 2.3.0.
