University Course on Fabric [call for suggestions/contributors]

Rafael André Pestana Belchior

Hello all,
I'm building a university course on Hyperledger Technologies, with focus on Hyperledger Fabric. This course is open source and will be exposed as an Hyperledger Lab.

In particular, this course would benefit greatly from people with experience not only on Fabric, but with other Hyperledger projects as well.

I would like very much to welcome any ideas, suggestions, and contributions.
Please feel free to reach me!

Cheers,

Hi, keep in mind that Fabric doesn't use RSA for signatures but instead uses ECDSA, therefore maybe it makes sense to replace the RSA chapter with ECDSA.

Jim

Hi Rafael,

Thanks for the links to your course.
It covers a lot of ground which is excellent.
I had started building a Fabric Solutions Engineering course but never got to complete it.
Some of that material is covered here.

There are also a lot of other related courses and documentation on Fabric.
Have you given thought to using other content versus maintaining all of it here?
What is your strategy for maintenance ongoing?
I suspect Fabric ( more than other blockchain frameworks ) will have continuing changes in architecture requiring course updates.

Looking at Umbra, there are other frameworks that make it easy to setup and manage Fabric networks for testing:
Minifabric and other similar frameworks.

Overall, my first impression is the course is well organized toward Enterprise Blockchain and Fabric in particular as a good starting point. I'll go through this in more details

Thanks again,

Jim Mason

I'll be looking for co-maintainers that can have different educational perspectives than I (I'm in the academia)

Yes. A good direction would be adding other Hyperledger Technologies, and even covering public blockchains that Hyperledger does not cover (e.g., Bitcoin).

Thanks,
