Re: Does peer monitor externally running chaincode?

The chaincode server is your server; it's completely up to you how you want to manage and monitor it. The peer surfaces metrics for chaincode that cover most invocation scenarios (server or client, external or managed through docker).

Another related question. Is there any metrics endpoint (prometheus/statsd) exposed by the chaincode server? What is the recommended option to monitor my chaincode servers?

Subject: [Hyperledger Fabric] Does peer monitor externally running chaincode?

Hi team,
I have an external chaincode server running in a VM. Does the peer check the health and liveliness of the external chaincode server periodically? Or the peer communicates with the server only when a chaincode is invoked?

Thanks,
Sathyanarayanan S
