Re: Documentation Workgroup: Agenda for Friday, 24 May

Hi Anthony and all,
I find it encouraging that Fabric 2.0 alpha introduced the new feature of "Fabtoken", which I think could potentially be very useful.
In the meantime, "Fabtoken" alpha version seems to have some critical deficiencies, for instance, on security end, one can transfer coin to another party without providing a private key. Why providing a private key for such type of transaction is extremely important? With it as a requirement, even if one's account is compromised as long as his/her private key is not promised and private key is stored on the file system then such bad actor still won't be able to steal.
When could we expect a beefed up version of "Fabtoken"? Ballpark estimate.

Many thanks and best,

Hi All,
We will hold the documentation workgroup on Friday, 24 May. We run the meeting twice during the day to make it easier for both Eastern and Western hemispheres. Check the bottom of this note for meeting details.
We're currently covering Policy, Lifecycle, Migration, Samples and Chinese language docs. As usual we'll start our call with an update on V2.0 development from Pam and Joe. V2.0 continues to be the the focus of our activities at the moment.
This week we'll start the session with a demo from Chris on user administration. This should be an excellent demo, and give an insight into the important process of Fabric user enrollment. Many thanks to Chris for volunteering this.
Pam's going to spend some time on the latest updates to policy, a documentation topic that's getting some great updates in V2. Nik will cover the latest on Lifecycle with some specific updates for the network topic, and he'll also continue to provide an update on the Fabric migration work he's doing right now.
We haven't managed to get some of Joe's time to lead a conversation on gaps in the current docs and possible reorganization, so we'll try again this week. We'll give a brief update on Advanced Commercial Paper -- we'll be making this available in a CR soon. We'll also provide a status update on Chinese language docs, which is proceeding well under Rich Zhao's leadership.
If you'd like to contribute to these or another topic, please join the call -- there are now lots of people who are keen to help you contribute to the documentation!

Feel free to post comments to the mailing list, so that we can include at the meeting. Or you can just come along, listen and discuss - you're always welcome!
Very best regards, Anthony.
